Every 2 to 3 years, I make my own body butter. Having sensitive and dry skin in winter, it is obvious that I need to moisturize it more often. This butter is very rich in natural oils, vitamins, and doesn’t leave a greasy residue on the skin. We owe it to shea butter, which is natural and also a super food. I also wanted a butter that hydrates my tattoos and that is healthy for my face, hands and for my eczema outbreaks. This butter contains 4 ingredients and I’ll explain to you why I chose them.

Shea Butter: Its first use is to protect the skin and hair in order to limit dehydration. It is rich in vitamin A, E and F. It naturally has an SPF of 6. It provides essential nutrients to the skin in order to stimulate the production of collagen while respecting the natural oil secreted by the body.

Beeswax: Well known for making candles, it is beneficial in the use of cosmetics. Having antioxidant properties, beeswax helps keep free radicals away from the surface of the skin. It also acts as a protective barrier against pollution. This barrier will help skin keep its hydration without clogging the skin pores. Rich in vitamin A, beeswax acts as an antibacterial and hypo-allergenic agent. It plays an important role in reducing the proliferation of bacteria.

Sweet almond oil: Nourishing and hydrating, it tones and prevents tissue dehydration. It’s a smooth oil that quickly penetrates the skin.

Coconut oil: Rich in vitamin A and E, coconut oil is particularly used as an after-sun as well as a make-up remover.

Rub and massage the skin to penetrate.
